Interesting story, though as I haven't read Till Human Voices Wake Us it was a bit unclear in places. We'll written, though!
The Glassblower (EBOOK)
The Glassblower (EBOOK)
A novelette set on Ysthar--in Venice, to be exact, on a foggy winter's night in the early 18th century, when Scheherezade the Storyteller finds herself looking for a warm place to spend the night. She's not particularly successful on that front. She does find herself a bit of an adventure--and a new story, which is generally worth a sleepless night ...
Part I of The Glassblower Diptych. (Part II, The Storyteller, will be available later in 2024.)

I love all these little backstories that Victoria Goddard is adding to her worlds. Each feels familiar, but new at the same time. Love them all!

I loved this story. Raphael and Sherry's friendship is wonderful and fascinating and I can't wait to see more of them both.

I would read Victoria Goddard's shopping list, but fortunately, The Glassblower is a lot more compelling than groceries. It is another excellent short backstory that helps illuminate Scheherazad's character, while we not-so-patiently await another major installment in Greenwing and Dart or The Red Company Returns.
