Shipping & Returns

Ebooks and audiobooks are digital products and are available immediately upon order. They are not returnable; if you have accidentally ordered the wrong item, please contact me immediately and I will see what I can do.

Print books are printed on demand upon order. This means that once the order is placed, there is only a short window in which it can be cancelled. (Usually within 24 orders, longer over weekends.) Please email immediately if you have made a mistake, and I will do my best to resolve the issue.

Books are printed in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia, and will be shipped from the nearest printer to you. Most books can be produced in each of these places. However, there are certain items (mostly the shorter novellas) that can only be produced in the UK. If you order one of these, the entire order will ship from the UK regardless of your closest printer. The shipping cost will reflect this. Please email in advance of placing the order if you want to confirm options.

Please note, that given the nature of print-on-demand production, occasionally there will be misprints. (So far we have had incorrect stories matched to covers, both mine; an intriguing one where the text had the correct cover but was spliced between two different books, neither of which were mine; one in which the correct story was printed twice ...) It is rare, but if this should happen to you, please email me with pictures of the problem so I can relay them to the printer and get replacement copies sent to you.

REGARDING U.S. SHIPPING AND TARIFFS: At the moment, it seems that books that are printed in the U.S. and sent within the U.S. should not be affected by the tariffs. However, at the moment it is unclear what will happen with books printed and shipped from the U.K. My printer is currently stating the following:

"Since books already have zero import fees, your customers in the US will not face any new charges when receiving their orders. However, due to these regulatory changes, we will need to suspend our Untracked and Standard Tracked services to the US. For now, our Consolidated Services and FedEx options remain available for all deliveries into the US. At this stage, no new fees are being applied, but as it is becoming increasingly challenging to ship into the US, there is the possibility that shipping costs may rise in the future."

At this stage, many national postal services are already refusing to ship parcels to the U.S. I do not have any control over what extra fees may be charged to receive parcels, so please be aware that you may face extra charges. As I learn more, and can confirm whether the printed-in-the-U.S. items continue to be treated as American-produced products, I will update this.
